Well what a busy week its been!

Last weekend I had two demonstrations – one on Saturday and one on Sunday and boy was I beat by the time Sunday night hit!

I was very proud of myself though because as I was thinking of what to do for the demonstration and make n takes I worked out that the two groups dont know each other and no one was going to both (this has happened before) so I figured I’d do the same demonstration and same make n takes at both Demonstrations. This worked out to be a very good plan! Yes I had to cut alot of the same cardstock, paper & ribbons but when I got home Saturday night all I had to do was replenish the kits for the Demonstration the next day – everything else was already packed! I even made me two Demonstration kits – one for each Demo. I need to do this more often!!

I placed the orders on Monday and they arrived yesterday so I packed them up last night and this morning needed to make some thank you cards for those lovely ladies who placed an order – now the Hostess was coming between 9 and 10am to collect so they had to be very queasy cards.

Using the Stampin Up! Notecards made these very queasy and I even had an envelope the perfect size to pop the cards into!  This is a very easy card to do and the flowers come from the Silhouette Sentiments stamp set which is a level 1 Hostess set so you can earn this just by hosting a Stampin Up! Remember when you were growing up and you had a birthday and you’d get as many punches as you were old??

Man I’m glad we dont still do that or I would have been covered in bruises the other week!

Today I bring you ‘pretty’ Birthday Punches!  You may have noticed the new triple layer punches we now carry and today I’m sharing a card from Friday’s workshop where we used the new Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer punch.

How sweet are these two cards? and what a difference the change in colour of cardstock makes!

This card is definitely one of my ‘Queasy’ cards …. actually I think it falls under the ‘Squeasy’ category – Super Quick and Super Easy!!

Paper: Concord Crush, Bashful Blue, Whisper White, Cheerful Treat DSP (Hostess)
Accessories: 1 1/4″ Square Punch, 1 3/8″ Square Punch, Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch, Stampin Dimensionals, Rhinestone Jewels

I simply used square punches for the bottom of the present and then used the Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch for the ‘bow’ on the present. See Super easy!

Here is the exact same card where I’ve just changed the Bashful Blue layer for Melon Mambo and what a striking difference it has!

This card would be perfect with any of our Designer Series Papers and just match the colours of your cardstock with those used in the packs.

Thank you to all who prayed for our fire fighters and the fires we are already having here – and its only mid-Spring so hopefully the back-burning will reduce the number of fires this Summer – or at least the intensity of them.  Please keep your prayers happening as there are still some burning but most are under control but we do have some hot days coming up.

I was playing with the Woodland Embossing Folder and had just run it through with some Whisper White and thought how nice a snow scene could be and then grabbed the Among the Branches set and noticed there’s a wee snowflake in there and then started stamping randomly and here’s what happened next ….

Oh my … adding the silver cording and the rhinestones brings this card alive … well nearly!

It’s super easy and super quick to do too!

Wow! Monday already?  those weekends sure do fly by – especially when you are having fun!

Today’s card is a card that is a case of one done recently by the lovely Lee Conrey and uses the Wonderland Stamp Set …

How lovely is this card?  It’s really easy to do too … this is how …

Supplies …

Steps …

1. Cut your cardstock …
   • Shimmery White 105mm x 297 (score at 148mm), 148mm x 60mm
   • Gold Foil 148mm x 65mm
2. Insert one end of the long Shimmery White piece into your Softly Falling Embossing Folder and run through the Big Shot.
3. Adhere your Gold Foil piece to the centre of your card
4. Using the Wonderland Stamp Set ..
   • Ink up your tree stamp with Basic Black Archival Ink Pad and stamp onto Shimmery White piece approximately 30mm from bottom.
   • Ink up Silent Night with Cherry Cobbler and stamp on Shimmery White piece under trees.
5. Adhere this Shimmery White piece on top of your Gold Foil piece leaving an equal border on both sides.
6. Clean stamps and pack away!

Told you it was quick and easy!  What a great Christmas card!  Now a couple of tips for this card …

1. When adhering your Gold Foil piece you may wish to use our Tombow Multipurpose Glue. I find layers with embossing/texture need that extra bond.
2. You could add some Dazzling Details to the trees to represent snow

Good Morning … it’s Thursday again so I have a sweet card to share with you for my Weekly Free tutorial!

Today is also the Senior Science Paper for the HSC Exams so wishing all the students sitting this and other exams all the very best.

I was asked to do a class for some scrapbooking friends on some quick and easy adaptable cards so I thought the best set to use is the awesome Gorgeous Grunge set – it’s so very versatile and this is one of the cards we’ll be creating this afternoon ….

I’ve definitely got my ‘purple’ happening and I do love how this one turned out.  It’s quick and its easy and adaptable for any colour combination you would like .. I can see this in pinks and blue, pink and orange, blue and teal … so many options.  You can also change the sentiment to fit any occasion as well.

Hello and welcome to the hottest day of the week!  Here in Sydney we have 40C forecast for today – that’s 104F for my Northern Hemisphere friends.

I’ve set myself in my bedroom with the air con on and a nice cool drink by my side! Wonder if I beckon the children they’ll run for snacks? yeah probably not.

Today’s card is another I made for a Party Make and Take and uses the gorgeous Botanical Gardens Suite …

This card makes a quick and easy Birthday Card.  The tag on top is created using the Ornate Tag Topper Punch and I’ve stamped some flowers onto the tag using Soft Sky. I did want them to be rather subtle on the tag so stamped off once first then popped the little pinwheel on top.

The flower is made using the Botanical Builder Framelit dies and I used a dauber to sponge some Calypso Coral into the centre of the flower to make it pop. I love this flower and how much depth you can give it just by curling the petals.

Good Morning … it’s going to be warm today and we are off to visit my Aunties today.  My oldest is learning to drive so it will be good to log some kilometres and time for her.

Today’s card comes from one that I saw my sweet friend Maxine share last week and uses the Grateful Bunch Bundle …

So yes I had to make three to give you a little variety!  As most of you know the Tulip is my favourite flower however the Daisy comes a very close 2nd!  Not only that they are so easy to grow!

This first one is a quick and easy pink daisy and these cards are perfect when you quickly need a card for a note or saying thanks for that thing someone did.

Now I know you can get daisies in many colours and not sure if I’ve actually seen a blue one but thought this one popped so well on the Crumb Cake Note Card.  I’ve also taken my Blender Pen to the leaves and stem and blended the ink – super easy to do and a great result.

One of my most favourites is the African Daisy – white petals with a purple centre.  Mum always had a bush of these in the garden – I actually took a cutting from her plant over 30 years ago and I still have new ones popping up.  I sure do miss her.

Wow, what a busy weekend it was with Team Gathering on Friday and my first Technique Class for 2016 yesterday.

Today I have a couple of cards using the new Sale-a-bration Stamp Set Botanicals for You …

At first I wasnt fussed on this set with it’s huge words but once I challenged myself I quite like these cards and how easy they were to make.

First, I created the Note Card …

This turned out to be quite a quick card once I’d stamped the sentiment as it filled most of the card so the rest of the card came quite quickly.

Once I’d stamped the envelope I loved the pink, blue and yellow combination I decided to make the C6 card without the Calypso Coral flowers …

Once the card was stamped I decided it still needed a couple of punched flowers so popped them on in Calypso Coral and  added a couple of Rhinestones to finish it off.
